What does “Any Size, Installed” mean?
“Any Size” refers to any size double hung window our manufacturer will construct. Currently this is a minimum width and height of 15“ X 26“ and a maximum of 48” X 78”. “Installed” refers to the removal of a basic wood double hung window and replacing it with a vinyl Window World double hung window, using the existing wooden stops.

Who manufactures replacement windows for Window World?
The windows are manufactured by Associated Materials Incorporated (AMI). AMI was founded in 1947 and is one of the largest replacement window manufacturers in the world.

Window World Richmond accepts checks and all major credit cards. Six months – same as cash and 100% financing programs are available.

Will the replacement windows be installed from the inside or outside?
The majority of our windows are installed from the inside. In certain situations, we may be required to install from the outside.

Do you install windows during the winter? If so, will I lose a lot of heat at the time of installation?
Window World installs windows year round. A standard installation will take only one day. Our installers install one window at a time and are trained to close any doors to the room they are working in to minimize heat loss. The energy savings from the new windows will recover any additional costs incurred within a few days.

How do I prepare my house for installation?
Please remove your curtains, blinds, and/or window treatments. Security devices should also be removed or deactivated by your security company. Please provide the installer with a clear path to the window by moving any personal items or furniture that is in front of the windows. It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls close to the windows.

How long will it take to get my replacement windows? How much time should I allow for the installation?
Your replacement windows will be installed within 4-8 weeks from the date that the final measurements are taken. The type of replacement window being installed and type being removed help determine the amount of time needed to install your replacement windows. On average each window takes about 30 minutes. Trim work and cleanup will require additional time to complete. An average job will take a single day.

What type of warranty is available for my windows?
All of our Window World replacement windows come with a limited lifetime warranty. However a double lifetime “transferable”, lifetime glass breakage, lifetime seal failure, and installation warranties are available. Contact us for more details.

What happens to my old windows & Screens?
We generally remove all debris from your property and dispose of it. If you would like to keep your old windows or storms, please notify the installer as soon as he arrives for your installation.

What do I do if there is a problem with the windows?
In the rare occasion that you do have a problem with your Window World replacement windows, we recommend that you visit our “SERVICE/WARRANTY” section of our corporate website. Most of the issues encountered by our customers are easily corrected and don’t necessarily mean that there is a problem with your window. This website contains a number of easy tutorials to aid you in correcting most of these issues. Please take a moment to read this information as some of it may be valuable for the care of your new replacement windows.
