Window World of Richmond Participates in 2011 Rebuilding Together Project

Several kind-hearted Window World of Richmond employees gave their time to Rebuilding Together, the nation’s leading nonprofit program working to preserve affordable homeownership for disabled & elderly residents.

Window World of Richmond recently participated in a project with Rebuilding Together last Saturday, September 24th. Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities.

Rebuilding Together believes in a safe and healthy home for every person. This means that we believe disabled and aging homeowners should be able to remain in their homes for as long as possible. We believe that homeowners displaced by natural disaster will get back into safe housing with help from the community. We believe that our nation’s veterans with disabilities deserve safe and accessible homes. Rebuilding Together believes we can preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities by providing free home modifications and repairs, making homes safer, more accessible, and more energy efficient.

Window World of Richmond donated 23 windows and 2 storm doors. Frank B, “Isbelly”, Muhamet, and Kim donated their time as volunteers for installation on 2 homes in Hopewell, Virginia. Teams of volunteers and donations from Home Depot and Sears, as well as the Hopewell Rotary, partnered in making these families’ homes safer and more efficient.
